Timetable & Tickets

The Hay Ho! Bus has a simple fare structure and we’ve introduced a day rover ticket which costs £7.50 and offers unlimited travel between Hereford and Hay.  Hop on and off as many times as you like!  An equivalent family ticket is available for £15.00, covering up to two adults and two children.

You don’t need a day rover to use the bus – for shorter journeys a point-to-point fare will usually be cheaper.  Please get in touch if you need any information or help with fares.

Concessionary passes are accepted on the Hay Ho! Bus and fares are cheaper for under-16s.

My first ride on 1610 Hereford to Hay on 29Mar 2015. 8 passengers: 3 for Hay area, others looked like shoppers returning to Madley area.

Why oh wye no timetable at Hereford Station Stop nor knowledge at ticket office as they had no timetable stuck inside the copy of the Councils bus timetable.
At Hay Tourist office a week or more ago all publicity was “uner the counter”.
Please improve and maintain timetables along the route

      Hi Mark

Thanks for your feedback and my apologies for the delay in replying. Glad to hear that you are using Hay Ho! and hope you have managed to get out on the bus since your maiden voyage in March.

We are striving to promote the bus and to make sure all TICs and transport offices along the route are aware of the service and actively promoting it. The bus is run by a small working party (five people) on an entirely voluntary basis so I would ask you to please bear with us if we aren’t quite there yet!

If you are keen to see the bus succeed perhaps you would like to get involved as a volunteer and/or become a Hay Ho! supporter? Time and/or financial contributions are much appreciated and needed and will help us to improve on current marketing efforts. I agree that making timetables easily accessibly at the bus stops is vital but with dozens of locations along the route it’s a case of many hands make light work!

      Kind regards
